Suspended lawmaker Saha mastermind of Singhaniya’s murder

Police have reached to a conclusion that suspended lawmaker Sanjay Kumar Saha was the mastermind behind the murder of media entrepreneur Arun Singhaniya. The District Police Office Dhanusha shared the findings of preliminary investigation into the killing of Singhaniya, Chair of Today Sanchar Group, at a news conference here Wednesday. Dispute over a news about dacoity published in the Janakpur Today featuring the name of Saha led to the murder of Singhaniya, according to Superintendent of Police Ramdutta Joshi. The news about the dacoity that took place at home of the then Chair of Ramanandra Youth Club, Jeevnath Chaudhary, dating back August 30, 2008 was covered by the Today Sanchar and it linked the name of lawmaker Saha in the incident. Saha reportedly paid Rs one million to contract killers Chanardeep, Pawan Lama, Manak Lama and Dipendra Kusiyat to kill Singhaniya. It was Manak Lama who gunned down Singhaniya while he was celebrating Holi festival with his colleagues on March 1, 2010. RSS
